Chop Saw KGS 80

Round base plate with notch feature and integrated machine vice. Plus a saw unit that can be displaced sideways.

A particular advantage for mitre cuts: It is not the saw unit that is adjusted, but rather the round base plate with workpiece (clamped absolutely securely in the clamping fixture). The compact, tight and torsion-free design allows clean and safe cutting of workpieces up to 65 mm wide and 30 mm thick as well as round material up to a max. diameter of 25 mm.

1. Saw unit can be displaced sideways. To prevent collision with one of the clamping cheeks during angled cutting. Zero distance between workpiece clamping and cut to enable separation without vibration and splintering!

2. Stress-bearing lower part of the saw unit and base plate (surface milled) is made of extremely sturdy diecast aluminium with CNC milled guides and fits.

3. By means of a longitudinal fence (extension 300 mm) the opposite angle for a frame section can be cut by simply turning the piece over and turning the base plate through 45° twice.

4. Horizontal handle with integrated switch and saw unit release catch that can be operated simultaneously using only one hand.

5. Carbide-tipped saw blade for wood, NF metals and plastic with 24 teeth ( 80 x 1.6 x 10 mm). Power transmission through Optibelt toothed belt (no gear).

6. Surface milled round base plate, can be turned through 45° to both sides. With notch feature for angled positions in 15° steps and additional clamping fixture in all other positions.

7. Machine vice integrated in base plate with centrally clamping cheeks. The centre line always meets the centre of the saw blade (no matter how wide it is opened). Cheeks with V-groove (for round parts) and with groove for clamping thin workpieces up to 65 mm wide.
